This piece was finished in a very ugly brown stain with black flecks. I primed and painted with Palladian blue. Decoupaged the inside with my Grandmother's sheet music. Now hanging this very heavy shelf on the wall was another matter.

ReplyDeleteI recognize the portrait in the middle of the bottom. My mother had one, too. I think it is supposed to be Jesus as a little boy. I can remember it hanging in my house when I was growing up and how sweet he looked.
I think every house should have a good-sized dose of Palladian Blue!! Your cabinet-top-turned-hanging-shelves look beautiful.
