I just used artisan enhancement clear top coat to some chairs and shelves that had been chalk-painted. I did shake the can as per its directions but not overly much. I applied with a foam brush as thinly as possible. The whitish sealer eventually turned clear and I thought all was good. It has now been 12 hours and the pieces I sealed are extremely tacky. It's cool in the house where I painted, but very hot and humid outside (New Orleans). Is this normal? The instructions mentioned that it would dry to the touch within 30-45 min. Can I use a blow dryer to speed things up? Thanks for your help! Carol R.
