~ corbels make a quirky table ~

So Mr. Sweetie pulls four corbels out of our stash to make the legs for our new patio table. He spends time removing many nails and we decide to use the smaller four corbels.

The four smaller corbels are not all the same size. Mr. Sweetie has to add some wood supports... some more sawing, nailing and we have a table. Love the end result...our quirky table for ten.

~ how about these headboards...so cool ~

~ love these small cottages ~

~ what to do with two screen doors? ~

I have two screen doors...one old and one new...both different sizes. The old larger one was going on the front door and the new smaller one was going on the back door. Changed my mind and now I need suggestions how to use them. Any ideas......

~ Charles Dilbeck Designed Home in Sherman, TX. ~

I met the most wonderful couple today, Honey and Robert, as I knocked on their front door to ask if I could take pictures of their Charles Dilbeck designed home. Honey is an interior designer and Robert is an attorney. They purchased the home from the original owners; added on a living area, master bedroom and bath. They just moved in three days ago and they invited me into the house...can you believe my good fortune to see this beautiful home inside and out. They have the original Dilbeck blueprints...home built in the 1920's.

Charles Dilbeck is a famous architect starting his architecture practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Charles relocated to Dallas , Texas in 1933. For the next twenty-five plus years, he created many wonderful houses in the Dallas area, each saying, "I am a Dilbeck house." Here are some pictures of a true Dilbeck home; the only one in Sherman, Texas.

~ neighbors great Halloween decorations ~

My neighbor and friend Carol out did herself with the Halloween decorations. Carol is very creative and artsy. Larry, her husband, can make anything that Carol desires. Don't you love the witch on the gable?

My Mom and Dad gave me this angel several years ago...good protection for the front door.

My five dollar pumpkin deal at Green Acres Nursery....love a great deal.

~ 1543 bricks later...the patio is done ~

Wow what a job...we had no idea how much time and energy laying the patio would take. It ended measuring 13' X 23'. Mr. Sweetie out did himself. Now it is time to finish the flower beds, crushed granite sidewalks, complete the fireplace/mantel and decorate with patio furniture...more to follow.

~ wow what great fall decorations ~

Great fall decorations made me do a turn around and knock on a stranger's door. I met Robert and Renae. They fell in love with a vintage house...perfect for them to down size. They spend a lot of time outdoors with their three children and two grand kids. What a great yard.

~ time to decorate the yard for Halloween ~

I love to decorate for Halloween... decorating in stages after work. I started with the tombstone area. Repainted the tombstones this year and used new sayings I found on the internet.
