~ Tablecloth Window Treatments ~

Really had a hard time publishing this post...is anyone else having problems posting multiple pics?  Anyway...I used tablecloths as window treatments in our living room.  This helped to lighten the room.

  2. Karla...I really LOVE the idea of using tablecloths as curtains! Did you have to cut them? Are they all the same size? This would be a great idea for my bedroom redo!~ Hugs, Patti

  3. Patti,

I used eight tablecloths all different sizes, styles and fabrics. I hung them with drapery hooks...some hung from the ends and some folded over to fit the window. One short tableclcth is hidden behind a chair. Have fun with your project. xoxo Karla

  4. I have valances in my sewing room that I made out of an old 1950's tablecloth. The patterns on these are great. I love the fact that you made full-length tablecloth drapes!

Sometimes Blogger and I don't see eye to eye when it comes to posting photos, but I think I have it figured out. Their photo uploader only allows me to choose one photo at a time from my computer ... I'm okay with that. When I double-click on the photo to add it to my post, sometimes it gives me the tool bar to let me choose X-large (which is how I display my photos on the blog), sometimes I have to click the photo to bring it up ... I'm okay with that too. When I post multiple photos without text between them, I always hit Enter twice to put the space between the photos. Does this cover the difficulty you're having? If not, email me and I'll see if I can talk you through it.

  6. Hi Connie,

Thank you for the info. on uploading pictures. I'm sure this will help. I love your blog. My yard is mostly shade...I have a few Fairy climbers on greenhouse arches and Knockouts scattered throughout the yard. I would love to have a farm life. My maternal grandparents lived on the family farm in Waterloo, Iowa. Such a nice quiet life for them. The farm has since been torn down and a factory is in its place. Enjoy your new year. Karla

I just found your blog through MMS copy me challenge...
I love this idea of using table cloths. I noticed they don't match~but do compliment each other. I'd have never thought of that--
I supposed you could use spare bedsheets much the same way. In fact, I've used pillow slips before as valances and curtains for small window!
    I'm enjoying reading your blog.
