~ Chalk It Up Stenciled Floor ~

The master bedroom floor started out a mess.
The previous owner utilized a wheelchair and the chair was very
hard on the floor finish plus there was water damage.
I decided not to refinish because of the dust and cost.

Before Floor

So I limed washed the floor with Chalk Paint™ Old White.
I wanted a heavier painted look so I opted to paint
with a can of flat paint I had in the paint cupboard.
You can see that the paint has a pink cast to it...not sure of the paint name.

Painted Stenciled Floor With Chalk Paint™

Next I painted in the stenciled area with Chalk Paint™  Pure White
...I love this color...

Sponged on two coats of Annie Sloan's Floor Lacquer.
I just love the finished floor!!!

Such an easy and quick project thanks to Chalk Paint™...no priming or sanding!!!

  4. Hey Karla! When you rolled the lacquer on, did it seem uneven to you? I just tried it out and i can see lines, when I went back over them, paint that had been dry for 24 hours lifted up! Ugh... Any thoughts or suggestions?
    Thanks!!
